I don't get the bitterness.

Are you bitter at all the Coopers and Blacksmiths that had to find new work due to that newfangled invention, the Automobile?

Technological progress is a good thing. Yes, it's disruptive, but so are recessions, marriage, becoming a parent, loved one dying, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and Quetzalcoatl's bad hair days.

I've been laid off twice in my career. Wasn't fun, but it's a part of life. You get a new job. Prospects are that much abundant for the low- and unskilled. Took a lot longer for me as a R&D manager to replace my income, but I wasn't blaming anyone other than life.

This is a good development.
