Hello All, first post here. Have been flying for a few years. Had a mini 2 since 2020 that has been great. Put it up 3 weeks ago, all good than "lost comm with controller" out of the blue. Long story, but crashed on way home. Bought a M4P 2 weeks ago. Everything is great. But....I have a M5P in my amazon cart ready to go now that they are available. Thinking of getting it as a back up especially since we don't know about the upcoming potential ban and especially since we can't get "refresh" in the US currently. Thoughts?

I had the same thoughts. Knowing a possible ban or at least having a hard time getting DJI in the USA I went ahead and got both. Here is my drone case with the Mini 4 Pro in the top right and the Mini 5 Pro in lower left sides of the case.

Well, I paused and the deal is now gone! I literally was ready to pull the trigger 2 hours ago and all was good. Just went to finish the buy and it was deleted from my cart due to "some problem". Was $759 with the rc2. Snooze/loose....

Got mine on eBay for almost twice that price. Came from Korea in 5 days to Hawaii though so I was Happy!

You had a Mini 5 Pro with RC2 in your cart for $759 and you didn't buy it? C'mon. 😂

I passed on the M5P deal that was going around because I just bought a backup M4P a couple months ago.
If I get up near Canada soon, I'll be picking up a M5P.

Do you have a screenshot showing it actually included the RC 2, and not the RC-N3 at that price, like in the OP's first post?

Go for it! I love the Mini 5pro. Terrific sensor upgrade!

Why not just buy a Drone from a manufacturer that still does business in the U.S. where you can still get parts for it? That way instead of hauling around a bunch of Drones, You can carry one and a small tackle box of parts if you need them.

IF you can't be without a working drone for 2 weeks or less then having backup drone is really important. If you only have one drone then that one would be your backup drone, so purchase aa new, more advanced drone. Don't purchase a drone which is older or less capable then your current drone; that would be moving backwards. Moving forward, your current would become your backup each time you purchase a more advanced drone; never move backwards with a new purchase.

I always have a backup drone just in case something goes wrong with my Mavic 4 Pro. I am so impressed with the Mini 5 Pro that I'm think of selling my Air 3S.

You are correct, it was the N3, not the 2. Still pissed at myself!!
The RC 2 is typically about $300 more than the RC-N3. Only one scroll wheel on the RC-N3 and a single function button, no external antennas, and no screen, requiring a separate device with a screen like an iPad or a phone, which makes it difficult to sandbox your system.

I am hoping RC-N3 is one day compatible with Mavic 4 Pro since I don't know another way to use the DJI Fly app with the Apple Vision Pro other than using an iPhone to share.

Certainly a possibility. Not really sure why it isn't at present, other than selling more expensive packages.

What Controller came with your Mavic 4 Pro? RC2?
