Sam's Club Case with Plasti Dip. Pretty nice for about a $25 investment.

Hi Mattmjm, will this case fit the mavic with the bubble dome cover in place?

Link to product on Amazon ($12.99):
Amazon.com: Khanka EVA Hard Case Travel Carrying Storage Bag For Samsung Gear VR - Virtual Reality Headset - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories
I can also fit in my spare iPhone 6 and it creates a perfect snug fit. It fits along the middle hinge of the case.

Anyone know of a bag slightly larger than the fly more bag? Slightly larger. I want to be able to drop it into my backpack. Reason I don't want a dedicated drone backpack is because I carry waters, sandwiches, etc when out..the fly more bag is ultra tight

3 great upscale $ cases I tried-all from AMZN
Pelican dji Mavic case (the MP is in this one) smaller than most cases, my overnight/trip case
Pelican dji Mavic case compact - my (most used) daily case, soooo small (good)
Nanuk 920 - killer quality, too big for me, returned to AMZN

Hello all, has a consensus been made on the best case to use for just the mavic, controller, and a couple batteries that you can throw into a backpack? I've read through all the pages and am honestly more conflicted than I was before I opened the thread (haha).

Since seeing this idea floating around, got these two bags just to have ready when needed to add into a backpack. The tall one, ( padded tactical MOLLE H2O pouch ), holds the Mavic w attached batt, and one spare batt in the center pouch, and the controller in the front pouch. ( Just ordered a stick guard for more protection ). If needed, I could add one more batt to the water pouch
The other is a small tactical first aid kit. It holds 2extra batts, both car and AC chargers, and extra blades with some room to spare. Everything fits well.View attachment 3754View attachment 3755View attachment 3756View attachment 3757

Can you link these? I want to purchase

There really isn't a perfect case, because each person may have a different need for a backpack. For example, the backpack I use needs to carry the Mav, a light jacket, and hydration for hiking or biking day trips.

I use a small LowePro padded camera bag with shoulder strap for quick out and about flights.
There are plenty to choose from!

I think you misunderstood. I was looking for a case that could house the mavic, controller, and batteries that I can then place into an existing backpack I already own; I don't want a new backpack. I ended up going with the water bottle route that someone else on here mentioned they use.

Thanks for the help. If the water bottle method doesn't suit my needs I'll return it and try out your suggestion.

Ahhhh....gotcha

Probably the best bag ever in my opinion.
Lowepro Slingshot 200AW

Mavic Pro with Hard Case
Controller with Hard Case
AC Charger
Car Charger
4 Batteries with LIPO Bags
PolarPro 6 Pack Cinema Series
Arris XL Landing Skid
2 extra complete Sets of Blades

Still have space in back pocket to lens cleaners or other misc things.

Or Leave out Chargers at home or Hotel and Landing Skid and add a Nikon D5500 with telephoto lens and one extra set of lens.

It's Small, light weight and carries so much.
Also lots of protection included extra protection I added with hard cases.
