Side Obstacle

Does side Obsta. avoidance ever work? I just did the cali. in Assitant2 and it did get rid of the warning message to calibrate the sensors but no diff. in RTH accuracy or side sensors comming on. Anybody have an answer on this?? Thx

The side sensors are are not active in "Normal" flight mode they are active in the automated flight modes like Active Track and also Tripod mode.

Thats why. Thx for the reply. I also thought doing cali. on these sensors would help precise landing during RTH but it did not. Still off by about 4ft.

Perhaps read the manual. Side sensor would not increase landing precision on RTH. When you take off, you need to let it hover 7m above the take off point for a few seconds for it to record. There are a few other conditions listed in the manual.
