You might be right, that's just the way I understood it and the fact U3 was always marketed as 30MB/s minimum continuous write.

A few people contacted SanDisk on another forum to query the new standard, this was the reply.

Dear [...],

I appreciate your continued response. It is a new term used for video performance and we have incorporated this to our memory cards that are being manufactured currently. Hence, the new cards say V30 on the face whereas the old cards do not. There is no such difference between these two cards, the specifications remains the same. The only difference is the old cards do not say anything about video speed class and the new ones do. I ended up dropping another SanDisk extreme u3 in there. Should discontinue u1s

same here with a Sand Disk class 10 64Gb any suggestion with the Format mine is extFat

I thought the class 10 is to slow for 4K video?
