I have been looking at how to make something a little different, using some of the footage from our recent Rhiwagor Falls trip, and came up with this, a 33% frame rate slo-mo of the Rhiwagor falls, showing the beauty of the water in 4K...

Not sure if it is enough to hold interest, but as something relaxing and chilled out, I like it, what do you think?

Hey I remember this one AD. Didn't we have a rock throwing twit and crowded airspace?
The more leisurly approach and music fits together.
I suppose you are all inside given the storm over there?
Thanks hon, no rock throwing twit on this one, that was the week before at Aber Falls....

Glad it works for you, perhaps I shall have to try and do more like this....

Storm Eowyn blew over yesterday here, 60mph winds in Manchester, no damage for us - fortunately - further north it was bad with 100+mph winds...

Today is cold and bright, with 10mph winds, hoping to get out and fly, but not sure where yet...

Never worry. Your films are always worth watching. Just when you think you’re at the top there’s another fall to negotiate. With the A3 how on earth do you get to keep control of the drone. Surely it must be out of VLOS (not moaning about that) more about hitting a branch etc. it’s not as though you flying an Avata?

The footage is a mix of AIR3 and AVATA2, the close in stuff is AVATA2, the more wide angle - such as the 3rd clip - is AIR3, they work well together, and allow a different viewpoint... I could have flown the AIR3 with the Goggles and MC2, but with the trees around it felt safer to fly that with the AVATA, at lest the duted props stand more of a chance against a waywnd stick than the normal AIR3 props :)

As to VLOS, my hubby was spotting, the AIR3 remained in sight at all times, the AVATA while following the river did dip out of sight, but we were in a fairly restricted area, and we could see that there were no birds, planes or drones around, so it was flown within the spirit of VLOS if not always 100% visible...

I continue to find these Avata-type flights truly stunning. The mix of drones is also an amazing coordination. I must admit I don't understand the Avatar's ability to be able to fly through branch-heavy scenes with impunity. I would be scared sh..less to do such a flight with either my Mini 4 Pro or my M3. As for goggles.... well, I am too old to try those out.

In any case, the videos truly amazing flying. I loved what you did with the slow motion. The music choice was relaxing but had tones of some mysteriousness, or impending doom. Kind of like expecting Dracula to pop out soon.

I like it. After watching it I believe it’s used more often than we realize on tv and movies. Adds a nice touch
Thank you, yeah, I think it is definitely used more than we think....

Thank you Dale, I am fortunate to have good eyesight and reactions, so flying the AVATA up a stream I something I enjoy... First flight is always a little slower, I think the one used here was my 5th flight up, and was the smoothest as I knew where all the branches were, so could pan the moves in advance...

Glad it was enjoyed ;)

It’s beautiful and tranquil, those falls drop quite a distance over the whole length.

Beautiful place, nice flying. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, and thanks for watching...
Very nice video. You should try going down and then instead of music use a recorded sound of the waterfall.
Thanks I got footage of flying back, but its not as impressive as the flight up :0

Thanks Paul, it was a stunning spot to fly, about 250ft drop in total over the whole cascade :)

You just get better and better. The 33% speed rate was perfect - seemed real and it was relaxing. Thanks as always for posting and giving us ideas.
Thanks for the praise Jim, I appreciate the support and encouragement :)

Another great video! Great job (as always) :)

Ah. That explains it. The magic product of a “fleet” of drones. Knew you would be assiduous re VLOS-as I said I was not worried about that-just how you did it. Now we know an Avata was involved all is explained.

Lol, fleet may be a little strong, I only have 4 drones so far, MINI3 Pro - first drone and great for when people are around and I want to fly close in, AIR3 for windy and landscape conditions, AVATA1 - first FPV and lots of fun, almost indestructible, and AVATA2 - only bought as a friend was selling at a bargain price, but great for flying things like this and has a better camera and look down gimball over the AVATAT1...

I will be getting a MINI5 Pro, and will be lusting after a MAVIC4, but don't think I will be getting one of them anytime soon...
