Smart Controller and Waypoints

When using the Smart Controller I have a difficult time getting the Way Points to work. When I touch the Way Point button sometimes I get the optional setup menu including the Task Library and other times I get nothing except a "?" just above the GO button. What am I doing wrong?

Be sure you give the aircraft time to do it’s job before you start, especially getting 15-20 GPS satellites. Could just need to restart the app/device used for control.

The only way I could get the Way Points Menu to pop up was to turn the smart controller on and off and try it each time until it worked. Took about 3 or 4 times for Way Points Menu to pop up.
