SMART CONTROLLER NOT LINKING TO MAVIC 2 ZOOM

Hello All,
been having mid flight disconnection issues between the SC and my Mavic 2 zoom. All firmwares updated both on controller and drone but now the SC no longer connects to the drone. Also the linking light on the drone is permanently on green. Is there anyone having similar problems and will appreciate advise on how to resolve this.
Noticed today that under DJI lab on the SC, there was some strange portion in chinese.
