Solar Eclipse

I was thinking of getting some eclipse footage with the drone today. I don't have any filters to use but does anyone know if the sun's brightness might damage the camera?
 
I think the better shot here would be the shade from the moon rolling over the landscape. That's my plan.

I did this... Boring footage. The landscape just got a little darker, but there was no discernable moon shadow chasing across the landscape.

Took these with my phone since I couldn’t risk my drone

I took off from a high hill and you can definitely make out the shadow racing across from the top left of the video of the plains
