The seagulls were making me nervous too, and I wasn't even there ! I liked when you accelerate showing the blades at the top of the frame.
When I did this professionally my photog would hate it when I allowed part of the helicopter in the frame, he was fanatical and would only allow a certain editor to work his shots. It was easy to get the skids or structural illusions from exhaust heat.
Loved the music and don't think it would work to shorten it because of that.
