Hey guys , Can someone of you imagine there will be PALMCONTROL available for the Mavic in the future ? Or something else of the recently released spark modes ??

Doubtful. DJI rarely adds new flight modes to old aircraft.

They can add the palm modes to the Mavic as all the sensors and cameras are there.
But I think DJI rather not due to the size of the props and motors on the mavic. You wouldnt want the mavic to be at head height and operated by your palm. There will be a very high chance that someone will get a new hair cut dyed in red blood, especially when you order the mavic to reverse out with your palm.

Palm gestures would only suit the Spark as it tiny and more forgiving.

DJI may add dronie mode and helix mode in the future to the mavic though.

Ok folks place your bets.
DJI is emphasizing hand launches with the spark. Now given the fact that we have seen some unusual behavior from a few Mavics after they launched is this a good idea? Even though the spark is tiny, I would not want to get hit in the face by one.

So do you think DJI will make their typical 180 after they have sold 100 thousand units and say you should not launch it from your palm?

I would like to see Spark's flight modes added to Mavic: dronie, helix etc.

I wouldn't use the gesture control with the Mavic, have you tried the whole selfie thing where you raise your hand, make the photograph sign and pose? Try that and not look like a prat when doing it ;-)

However I would like the dronie and the helix, the dronie is easy to perform with sticks, and I have a saved flight in Autoflight Logic for the Helix but having it in the app would be great. I think there is a chance the helix and dronie will appear for the Mavic but not the gestures.

It should be fairly safe if you have the prop guards attached.

As I said in another thread I highly doubt hand gestures will be added, That's touted as one of the main features to the Spark so I doubt it will make its way to the Mavic. And who cares if its an older model People are still flying P3's.
