Spark Take Off

Ok, I'm new, what am I missing.
I take off, it hovers then it won't go over like 20 feet. I mash buttons then it's free to move around.

It's a spark and I'm using Litchi. PLEASE HELP! Them 16 minutes go by pretty quick and I'm wasting several of them stuck in a hover...

Just a guess but I've had that problem in urban areas between buildings when I didn't have GPS signal. It won't fly very high(I forget the actual altitude) if it's in VPS mode.

Beginner mode maybe ??

if its like the air it won't do much till it has good GPS lock, just go up a few feet and wait till it get GPS loc
