I wanted to share my technique for hand launching & catching from a boat. I always wear a protective leather glove on my hand. I release with the drone facing away from me. To catch I turn off the obstacle avoidance feature in the safety section, bring the drone down behind the boat, rotate so it’s facing away from me, & then back it up so it’s over me and pull the left stick full down. It hesitates just a second and then settles into my catching hand at which time I move the left stick to the bottom right to turn off the props. Works every time. I fish offshore and only launch on a flat calm day.

Same technique most of us boaters use, it works. The controls matching the drone movements (while ignoring the screen) makes this a safe 1 man operation. Bystanders beware!
Ps: not to be tried while underway. Less drift the better.
Good post, enjoy

You are absolutely correct, never underway!
