There is a very easy to stop the RC Pro beeping for those who find it annoying. Lower the volume all the way(fn + right scroll wheel up) then there is a popup about muting the beep. Choose yes. To reverse, just turn the volume up.
Very interesting! Have you been able to verify that it actually does what you are expecting it to do, namely also silence the noisy transducer that makes the heart attack beeping at 15% battery? There is a separate speaker that the volume controls, different from the annoying transducer.
The disadvantage of turning the volume off completely is potentially missing that the Home Point has been properly set, as well as any other audible features such as shutter clicks. Yes, they have onscreen messages, too, but those can get missed. The transducer also notifies you the the RC Pro is still on, if it has been idle for 10 minutes, with reminder beeps, so the battery doesn't get run down inadvertently, from not turning it off, if you forgot it was still on, after merely turning off the display screen.
However, rather than drilling a hole in the case, as I did, to muffle the transducer, if this actually means what it says, turning on "Stealth Mode" sounds like a welcome feature!
For those that want to drill a hole to still have audible volume and a muffled transducer, here is the link to what I did:
RC Pro Muting Solution Between the FCC filing photos and a new teardown video from Alientech, the location of the noisy transducer inside the RC Pro has been accurately determined, and holes drilled in the case to avoid cracking it open, to successfully mute the transducer so it now mews like a...
