"Yorkville police took a report New Year's Day at 3.39 a.m. of people trying to cut down a tree in an area east of Kelly Avenue and Redhorse Lane, causing approximately $100 worth of damage to the tree. The people were located and told police they were attempting to dislodge a drone they were flying that was stuck at the top of the tree by cutting the tree down, police said. No complaints were signed, police said"

Apart from stupidity...I would bet my life that they we drunk as hell. In a strange way its actually kind of funny. I'm sitting here trying to picture a few drunks cutting down a tree at 3AM and find myself laughing.
