Visual memory technique.
I use the grid and diagonals as well as the map on the side to gauge the horizon and position.
I also make note of the altitude.

Make a visual note of at least 3 landmarks (hill, light, tree, Etc...) along the grid and diagonals and just line up those points again when you get at the correct altitude.

Works at 100 through 400ft although you lose more time between battery changes at 400ft than 100ft.

Also, I ignore the low battery warning (RTH 10 seconds) and the instant it says "landing" I hit the record button to stop.
If you allow the RTH warning, shut down the recording before the 10 seconds or you will get the Mavic Air turning to RTH on the video and will need to be edit out.
