Very nice scenery in your shots.

Are you downsampling your Mavic video to 720p before uploading to YouTube? I'm seeing either dropped frames or interpolation jitter during movements and pans. I've been experimenting with YT and just upload the 2.7k MP4 video I shoot right off the Mavic with no scaling - YouTube does a nice job of compressing and prepping it for streaming - it stays smooth and non-pixelated. It's slow but it works well.

When second generation iPad hit the market 1978? I gave up a room full of computers and parts. Enjoyed assembling, over clocking and repairing PCs.
Now all I have is wifes small Net Pad running Windows 7 Starter. And two iPads and one mini. Therefore...I'm shooting in 1080p and download to iPad mini then use iPad or iMove for "simple" edit and upload. Sometimes I use dji GEO 4. Will try upload direct from Mavic.

Thank you for kind words and edit suggestions. I realize videos are sub par. For now I lack proper equipment and knowledge to do much better.

East or West side Wa?

West - Olympic Peninsula. Warm here today but I'm betting TriCities was quite a bit warmer than that.

I get the hardware limitations and the desire to simplify. I just haven't been happy with 1080p on my Mavic (but I still have a lot to learn) so as an experiment try a short vid at 2.7k and send it to YouTube untouched to see the results - I liked it much better and a good space-saving compromise over 4k.

Fly fun!

I'm still experimenting with you tube also. I may try that too.
This is low.

Thanks, I will try. Will look for way to send 2.7 from iMove and iPad. For some reason dji Mavic Pro edit, share lacks option to share with YouTube.

Ten day temperatures forecast above 100 degrees.

Oof, hot!

A 7-9 minute video at 2.7k resolution ends up about 3 GB in MP4 format. I've never bothered with the Mavic edit/share, just pull out the card and take the files off from my PC. Uploading to YouTube is slow for a file that size; my ISP lets me send a little less than 1 MB/sec so 45-60 mins upload time followed by at least a half-hour of YT processing and compression. But I like the test results so far (technically, that is; the content is pretty boring).

HD vids really suck up bandwidth at every step along the way. Of course, it won't be long before it's all routine and we're uploading at 1 GB/second.
