switching between photo and video

Hi folks,

I own a M2P since a couple of days. Now I am wondering about the settings for photo and video.
I did the settings for video as I like it. Iso, shutter, wb etc. all manual.
Then I made my settings for photo: A-Mode.
Now the shutter speed is for example 1/500. I take a photo.
Then I satart Video again and the shutterspeed stays at 1/500
Is that normal? Does the M2P not save different settings for photo and video?
That is frustrating...
