Taking my Drone to Cyprus

If you want to Fly commercial you have to get a medical exam!!!??

Hi everyone. I have DJI Air3 drone. I wanted to take it to Cyprus. Is it OK to carry it through the airport? I have a UK Flyer ID.
Advice? Greek Cyprus is technically part of the EU: so register for a Euro flyer I.D. then Contact the Greek Aviation Authority to clarify where you stand and what extra certification you might need for Cyprus. Then: unless you're taking the walking tour... Stay away from Varosha.

People fly with drones all the time.
You won't have any trouble at the airport.
But you must keep your batteries in your carry-on luggage.

Be aware that there is a lot of GPS jamming affecting Cyprus.

Meta 4:
A question related to your GPS jamming warning:
If you were using Litchi which stores the program in the drone at takeoff, would jamming effect the flight?

Unfortunately the interference of GPS signals in that part of the world isn't just blocking GPS reception.
It also includes GPS spoofing, where spurious signals are sent with fake location data.
There have been several cases recorded from Cyprus where the fake data leads the drone to believe it's in Lebanon, more than 200 kilometres east of its true location.
That triggers autolanding if the fake location is in an NFZ or otherwise a low battery RTH that doesn't return to the actual home point because of the fake data.

Better to contact Cyprus if that is where you are going. Greece has no jurisdiction in Cyprus. Try: Department of Civil Aviation - Home Page

I took mine through airport security no problem. Has to be carry on luggage because of the Li-ion batteries but doubt you'd trust it to your suitcase anyway lol.

You need a Euro flyer ID and you're supposed to do it in the first EU country that you intend to fly in, it is then valid in all EU countries. As it turns out, I did mine on the Cypriot CAA website which was all in perfect English and very easy to navigate.

Exactly this when I’ve gone over to Cyprus. You will need to open up the bag / carry case carrying the drone before it goes through x-ray.

Otherwise you shouldn’t have any issues. Most consumer drone batteries are up to 62 watt hours each so well below the 180 watt hour limit, in the UK anyway.
