Last September/October we visited Thailand for three weeks. I took my Canon camera, Mavic 3, Dji pocket 3 and the GoPro 10 for the underwater footage with me. Since I started filming 2,5/3 years ago I try to film as much as possible for our own memories. Back at home I put it all together in one (cinematic) video report.. I kind of like filming, and like the editing as well.

Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to fly in Bangkok and Ko Samui, so it’s just a little less drone footage than I hoped for.

I watched the entire film. My wife and I have been there three times, (twice in transit overnight) but only one where we actually remained in the city for 4 full days at the Peninsula Hotel on the Chao Phraya River. You have captured the essence of the city and its daily frenetic life, with the congestion of the river and the streets. I love filming like this too during my travels with Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action, a Mirrorless high end cameral, and a drone. Unfortunately, we are seeing great limits in drone allowance by tourists all throughout the world.

Bottom line, great filming and story. Only critical comment would be the droll music track. I would have used something more lively, like the city life.

Thanks for the compliment, that means a lot!

About the music.. Music is very personal. I really like the music I used, I use this kind of music in all my videos.

With all the hours of editing, I hear the music over and over again. So yes, I choose the music I like. Besides that, I’m blessed with adhd, I kind of take over the energy the music gives me, and stays with me for a while.. And I like sleeping! (Not very good at sleeping though)
