Filmed over the Halloween weekend, the Falkirk wheel looking absolutely spectacular bathed in a sea of colour. The video takes a tour around the wheel, through the arches and catches the wheel doing it's rotation. Hope you enjoy the video.

Wow. Very nice flying, filming, and editing. And the wheel is an true engineering marvel and a delight to watch raising and lowering canal boats.

I flew most of those routes last summer in the daylight. It must have been quite a bit more challenging in the dark. All my photos and videos are still languishing on a hard drive. Good on you for getting it done and sharing it.

Thank you. Yes it is a challenging place to fly at night and there are some areas which are very dark and the whole area is built on quite a steep slope so you have to be aware of all the obstacles around appearing at different hieghts.

Super work and beautifully edited. Music perfect-where have I heard that before? Did you have strobes fitted to enable you to see where you were or would that have adversely affected the footage?

Thank you. I didn't have anything other than the lights on the drone (including the auxillery light). The shots with the boat passing by I was directly behind the drone, maybe 10m away at most. The rest of the shots I was much further away but it's an open area so fairly easy to keep track of where the drone is.

Magnificant video!

Great video - didn’t realise it was lit up at night! Coming from the midlands, where we only had locks to move barges up and down, this and the Anderson Boat Lift are truly remarkable chunks of engineering.
Thx for sharing.
Thank you. It's always lit up but for the halloween weekend they done it differently.

That's one good effort and certainly different seeing it at night. You have to be pleased with the result.
Thank you very much and yes I am pleased with it. I didn't think I had all the footage I wanted but when I reviewed it turned out I had a bit too much so some of it never made it to the final edit.
