You never know what the top of a ridge looks like unless you hike to the top or launch a drone to check it out. This ridge was 1600' and surprised me!
Thanks for watchingAwesome!
Yeah, I am using the DJI Action 2 camera piggyback on the FPV drone and there is glare from the lense at certain angles, in this case it did pop!I love the way the glare makes a drone prop at the end!!
Yeah, I love hiking and still do a lot of it but even in my younder days it would have been a full day of hiking to see what the drone did in 6 minutes! ThanksNice one - just what a drone is for as my fading knees won’t get me anywhere near the top now! Although it’s always been good to see just over the next ridge and save a walk on the boring ones!
Thx for sharing.
That parking area is actually the turn around for drivers since Muley point ends in a cliff. We hiked 1 mile from our camp on our 2nd day to check out the actual Muley point and just as we arrived a group of a dozen or so folks traveling together in a convoy arrived and made the turn around look like a parking lot. Super nice folks though and they had their drones flying also! I gotta say I have camped all over the west and use Google Earth to find the most remote camp sites out there and this place is #1 on my list, highly reccomend it to others. ThanksAnother nice flight there Paleommanjim. Any idea why there's a great big parking area just below the rise? Sees like there are too many cars for hikers.
