Hi everyone,

Something different this week, being more inland and less water ... But the architecture was worth the trip ...

Built in 1861, the Toul er Goug viaduct is a remarkable structure of Breton railway heritage. Located in the commune of Brec'h, about 5 km north of Auray in Morbihan, this 206-meter-long viaduct spans the Tréauray valley and the Loc'h river.

Although the viaduct is not directly situated in the Gulf of Morbihan, it has an interesting geographical relationship with it. The viaduct overlooks the Loc'h river, a 45 km waterway that flows through the Auray region before emptying into the Gulf of Morbihan. Thus, the viaduct is an integral part of the Gulf's watershed, contributing to the landscape and ecosystem of this renowned area.

This hydrographic connection adds to the viaduct's interest, placing it in a broader geographical context and highlighting its importance in the region's natural and historical network.

Enjoy the flight,

Matt
