Hey everyone!

Mavic Air flyer here trying to see if I'm missing something before I send this thing in for a repair.

Been getting extremely crooked horizon lines when turning the drone.

I've calibrated IMU (even replaced IMU as it had an ACC1 error).
Replaced blades.
Calibrated gimbal.

No resolution.

Example:

At the 220 mark you can see it start to lean to the side. About 240 you can really see the tilt.

Here's a video of the gimbal itself. You can see when I lean it to it's right, the camera bounces back causing the horizon issue, but doesn't do that when turning to her left.

I'm not getting any errors regarding overload or anything of the sort.

Was going to do a gimbal swap myself, but I hear DJI is pulling some Apple type non-sense and has some proprietary software that I would need to complete the swap.

Does anyone think the gimbal is repairable? Don't see any physical signs on exterior damage to the gimbal itself.

Appreciate everyone's help!

If anyone has that software Id really appreciate it.

Thanks again everyone!

That's pretty bad for sure, and not correcting after you stop the yaw movement.
The MP has a reputation for this, I have an original MP but don't have too much issue.

It is usually turning or rolling too fast, but can be caused by stronger winds and sports mode.

My Spark, with gimbal similar in design to the Air, seems to have no issues.

Unless someone else offers any thoughts to try, then I think you've done about all you can try, and it's time to get it looked at.

At least your gimbal is leaning the 'right way' for the direction flown.
There is another thread here of similar situation with a M2P, but it's gimbal turns too far the opposite way to what it should.

First of all, that was awesome flying. I loved the part through the forest. Have you considered FPV flying? Here's a link to a well known channel. I guess you would have to ask yourself what interests you most acrobatics, or cinematic footage. This guy, Johnny FPV, rocks it. I would love to give it a try, but I have reasons to not

My experience has been that they all tilt the horizon, and the degree is dependent on the sharpness of the turn. The first tilt appeared to correct itself, which they do. The second tilt seemed to start to correct, but appeared to stall out.

My compensation for that is to take the turns more slowly, and/or turn in a much larger ark, but still...

I would have thought the purpose of the gimbal was to prevent that.
