The drone does most of the hard work. In Camera (as opposed to video) mode, hit the Settings icon (under the shutter button). Then check out the tab. I don't recall the tab at the moment but it shows basically regular/single shot, tap it, and then you have a bunch of options. Pick the pans and there are sub-options. Pick the Globe/Spherical icon. Fly high enough to get ground and sky. Hit the shutter and it will automatically take a series of images and it stitches them together. Be prepared - it can take a while and your drone is hovering. With the Zoom, you can take a High Resolution and that takes a ton of photos and it takes what seems like forever to shoot them all. It does show the percentage as it shoots.

The preview can show the "globe" or the flat. Save it to computer or tablet. Kuula does the additional magic. But the actual image uploaded is the FLAT one which I show below.
