Took the Mavic kayaking to Execution Rocks, NY

I've now taken it with me kayaking twice, and I know I mentioned it before, but it's a game changer. The ease to be able to pack it and fly it anywhere we stop makes my videos so much richer. This is an example of a day where I wouldn't have been able to take my phantom, but the Mavic added some beautiful shots to our trip.

The best one (imo) is on YouTube by a guy named dirtybird that flys around downtown Baltimore on a programmed flight. Well worth a look.

Wow, really gorgeous. I thought you were going to hand launch from the yak! Beautiful boats you guy s have. And the rollover in that cold water!! brrr!
I am at Gateway Marina in Brooklyn and hope to do some flying over water too.

That's a goal, but not until I feel super comfortable with the Mavic. I've heard some bad stories of people getting cut up when hand launching/landing while moving...

Yes, lots of beautiful kayaks in this group. And it's always good to practice rolling in these cold conditions. Chilly but worth it! Excellent, looking forward to some footage. We're close to your marina.
