Transmission Channel Mode

When I launch the DJI Fly app, the transmission channel mode always sets to manual. I always get a lot of no GPS error messages until I set the mode to automatic.
Why isn’t the default setting to automatic.

There has been a handful of threads I think with this issue after the latest DJI fly update. I think @EyesWideShut tried to sum up the different conditions among members having different OSs, location etc but I dont think a conclusion was reached. After reading people bringing this issue up, I have developed a habit of checking it during my pre-flight checks. For me (Android, CE version) its always set to Auto.
