Trouble making changes stick

Put the P3A on hold while I fire up the just delivered Mavic Pro, my issue is on first fire up, I go into the menu ,set RTH, multiple mods & when I back out of this menu I loose my settings, what am I doing wrong?

The setting should stay, they do get erased when you do a firmware upgrade.

You need to be connected to the turned on Mavic, most of the settings are stored on board.

Yes, connected of course, there are similarities between the Phantom line & Mavic's, so the learning curve is not as steep, if one has flown a DJI machine before. Anyway, That's what I;m telling myself.
I think it has to do with the menu on the Asus, i.e.- I hit return to home spot to type in 40 meters, keyboard comes up, then back out to go to next change, when I loose the keyboard, I think I;m erasing the RTH # I just added,will try again, oddly, its not raining!
