unboxing MP2

Hey Guys, So excited! just got my MP2 !!

now, as opposed to my MP1 i have some troubles with it... first when i start my DJIGOapp 4, it shows me only the MP1. i can connect and enter my MP2 but the image of the drone i connect to is a MP1.
Once in my MP2, i did the update (which took very short time actually .. as opposed to what i read on the forum, tones of updates and so on..) is that normal?

Once i have a look at my drone, the features such as panorama, hyperlaps and so on do not exist Oo ? i can't see them.

Regarding inteligent obstacle avoidance, i can turn it on ok.. but in the advanced settings, for the RTH obstacle avoidance i can't turn it on either..

am i doing something wrong?

Michael, just a quick check, make sure the button on the side of your remote is not in Sport mode. I'm a beginner myself, and as far as I know, the intelligent flight features and obstacle avoidance is only available in Positioning mode (and maybe Tripod).

As far as the DJI Go4 app, updates, firmware, etc . . . welcome to the world of DJI.

Hi Thanks for your reply, yeah i did start in "P", and even if i switch between the modes does not change anything...

do you need to "activate the drone" first? if yes how do you do ?

Yes, you have to activate the M2. It should have automatically appeared as soon as you connected.
It should also automatically show M2 as soon as the app connects to the remote, and the remote to the AC. At that point the first screen should show Go Fly in blue once the app detects the AC.
It almost sounds like the app did not connect to your AC at all, where it defaulted to displaying your last Mavic in "offline" mode.
Does the remote show "connecting" or does it show AC stats? If former, then you might need to rebind the RC to the AC.

it is exactly what i thing... and exactly how you explain ... somehow i connect to app but i still see MP1. i see the status bottom left as "connected" but when i connect i have my old MP1 settings somehow (does not look like MP2 at least) and most (90%) tells me it is "aircraft disconnected"
the remote shows connected and AC states so that works .. but app seems not to follow .. i deleted the app and will try again

ok .. as stupid as it is .. the app had to be deleted and re-installed to actually have the MP2 ... now it works ..

Now i also have the update offered but it does not start because of "network disconected" <.<

That network error is not uncommon. Try using assistant 2 instead.
