Possible, most pronounced sundog i have seen then but only a leg of it.

The sun reflects off of moisture, and clouds are moisture. Under certain conditions at the right angle you will see a rainbow.
Those are great photos!!

Yes, I flew helicopters for 25 years and often flew above stratus or mist where you could see a rainbow in full circle. On the ground you only see the top half.
