i'm not arguing the fact that this is a huge debate and that people interpretations can vary.
i'm guessing most people fall under option 2
Recreational, non 107 users can fly at night, fact.
That covers Part 107 certificate holders (who can get waivers for night flying), not recreational flyers.in my understanding of part 107.21 of the FAR/Aim handbook it states that there shouldn't be any night time flights and during civil twilight the use of lights are required.
just be cautious I guess.
