I think that I have seen reports that the Smart Controller will not work with the Air 2 - yet.

You can download the fly app onto the SC but you can't connect to the MA2 to use it. So nope it doesn't work yet. Waiting for "future" firmware update.

When the Air 2 came out, the reports were that the Smart Controller would get an update to handle the Air 2 expected in two weeks hence. That hasn't happened yet.

If I buy an Air 2, it will be predicated on that functionality and being able to buy the Air 2 a la carte without the standard controller.

It would make the most sense in the world to make it compatible with the Go4app and just allow people to remove icons they don't want on the screen. Boom makes it work on SC, gives all the functions removed in Fly app, and customized.

This can’t happen soon enough. I just got my SC, and love using it with the M2P; but I need this in my life.

It is extremely unlikely they will move backwards to the Go 4 app. Look for the fly app and the MA2 to be compatible after an update.

I doubt that very much, I suspect we will see the Go app disappear from all the smaller drones.
