Neat photo! I can't quite place the view, though as it has been too many years since I lived in that area. There are a lot of neat things to see along the eastern escarpment of the Sierra's and the White Mountains on the other side of the valley. Some day I hope to come down there and fly over those young volcanic cinder cones south of Big Pine with the high Sierra's in the background.

Neat photo! I can't quite place the view, though as it has been too many years since I lived in that area. There are a lot of neat things to see along the eastern escarpment of the Sierra's and the White Mountains on the other side of the valley. The eastside is a target rich environment for photo video and many other things! We explored the cinder cones last winter.

Thank you! if ever get the chance i would highly recommend checking these out. We hiked to the top of that one and the views were spectacular!

I can imagine and with the snowy Sierra's as a back drip how can you go wrong! That whole Owens valley is pretty cool. It must have really been something before LA hijacked the water.
