I bought this Samsung tab S 10.5" just for flying. I love the screen size and resolution but it is terrible for FPV. It is running Lollipop 5.0.1. The weird thing here is that it runs fine indoor when the drone is not getting any satellite. As soon as I walk out the door, it starts to lag like crazy. 5-6 sec lag and that is totally unsafe to fly using the tablet. My phone S6 edge+ has been running perfectly fine.
I have tried multiple settings just to find the right combination but it is still not working out. I've tried Force GPU rendering, all animations set to None, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, USB Debug on both controller and device. Indoor it is fine and very minimal lag which is acceptable but outdoor it is totally unusable. It will lag right at the start so this is not overheating issue. All my Phantoms (3 and 4) will do the same.
The real issue here is as soon as the drone picks up satellite signal, the lag starts. I know it is hard to believe but that is true. Anyone please shed a light for me. I can re-sell the Tab S but it looks like a perfect device for me so I really want to try all my best. I'm not anti Apple fan but I just don't like iPads and I am afraid to buy another Android device and then it turns out to be the same as the Tab S.
All inputs will be appreciated.
