Very unacceptable range

Problem?
Defective product. Range is very unacceptable. Only 500 meters over a farm land. Only 100 meters in the city.

Was unit in a crash?
No.

What have you tried so far?
Range test with seller's technician and farm coverage.

What device are you using ( iphone , ipad, Samsung , etc)?

Oppo A83 and iphone.

What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)?
I don't know. Seller set up my unit. I left it with them.

What Go app version are you using?
DJI GO4

Any modification? (if so what)
No. Never.

Did you change anything or install any apps? (if so what)
No. Never.

Do you have a video or pictures of the problem? (if so post link)
I still have to transfer the files from the SD card.

Are you in the US or EU (or elsewhere). The range under CE mode is not great. Force it into FCC mode and it’ll be much better.

If you’re in the US then have you extended the little antenna legs and are you antennae on the RC are properly set up?

In CE mode I would get anywhere between 250 and 500m. In FCC mode I can comfortably get 1500m.

I just went back there this morning. They acknowledge it is a defective product. Problem now is that they will only replace the product when they have the supplier's approval.
