In the process of trying out my new Air 2, I have shot a couple of long video clips. On both occasions, the video has stopped and restarted at 4 minutes, 51 seconds, with no input from me. I have looked all over the Fly app for some time limit that I could change and find nothing. Any ideas why this happens and how I can prevent it? Thanks.

What were your video settings? 4K, 1080 etc...

The drone can only record up to maximum of a 4GByte file. 4K, 30 comes out between 4-5 min. Lower resolutions should be longer. A quick forum search will give you many discussions on this topic. The M2 has this issue and I assume the A2 is the same. The good news is that if you join the files in an appropriate video editing software they have a seamless transition.

Both of the longer clips were 4K 30 and 3.76 gigabytes in size and I don't foresee any editing problems, so I guess that this is the norm. Thanks everybody.
It needs to be clarified:
You can record as long as you want, limited of course to AC battery capacity. What will happen is that the recording will be split into files up to 4GB in size, but it is still one recording. You can stitch them together with a video editor where it should be continuous, but may be a rather huge file that some transport and storage services, such as email, won't support.
The 4GB limitation mainly comes from the limitation of FAT32. ExFAT used with storage exceeding 32GB doesn't have this limitation but DJI may have opted to keep the original FAT32 limitation in order to be consistent. The MP4/MOV headers may also have a 4GB limit.

If you format the card in ExFAT and put it in he drone, what will be the result?
I don’t think it changes anything. It seems to be a limitation of the drone read/write hardware.

Mavic Air2 does use exfat format, no difference with exfat from your computer.
exfat is used on Ma2 internal memory storage AND on sd card.
Using a sd card over or under 32gb does not help, files will be split whatever it's size is.
4gb limit should not be used with exfat, but it is, we have no choice as there is no setting to override it.
Its not a limitation of the hardware, its being done on purpose by the software.
Its done for 2 reasons:
1: Chaptering (so in the case of any filesystem corruption you won't lose the whole video)
2: Compatability...DJI want as few compatibility problems as possible, she people still use old computers with old operating systems...splitting the video files solves a lot of this.
It's exactly the same with GoPro cameras, and the reasons for doing it are the same.
TBH I'd like a way to override it, there's little reason not to let the user override it, as long as they know of the risks/downsides.
