Video limited to 4 minutes and 100 mb

I'm just learning my Air 2s. I flew and recorded video for little over 12 minutes but when I looked at it, I had 3 files of 4:49 minutes long each and each was about 100 mb's in size! I assume I was recording in lower resolution but why did I have 3 files instead on one file?

rather than making assumptions, check what the resolution actually was.

Are you sure about the file size?
There is a file size limitation, but it's closer to 4GB and files get split if you shoot for longer.
Reducing the resolution is one way to have files run for longer.

Yes -- I'm sure about the file sizes! They're exactly 108MB, 108MB and 98.1MB in size. I've already played around with the resolution, so don't know where it was set -- but doesn't it make sense that it was a lower resolution! The resulting video's also appear to be a lower resolution than I want!
However, the resolution isn't the issue! I shot the video continuously and I understand about the limit of the 4GB file size but this looks more like the files are time limited rather than size limited! Is that possible?

In >10 years here, I've seen a hundred or more enquiries about the filesize limitation, but nothing about a time limitation.
Is this still happening or was it just a one-off issue?

Don't know if it was a one time issue! I won't be able to fly for a while but I'll try again and report back when I can get back in the air!
However, now that I've watched some video's about how to set video parameters, I'll be able to be more specific about my settings the next time!
