This has maybe been posted before, but I tripped across this group on Reddit that uses volunteer drone pilots (and video editors) to film locations to share with hospice patients so they can see places from their lives one last time. Seems like a pretty nice way to use our hobby to give back to others.

I have no affiliation with the group other than I have just signed up to volunteer.

If you are Part 107, go for it. If not, ask the FAA for a ruling. My understanding is that if you are performing services for another entity, whether paid or not, you need a Part 107 license. This would include non-profits.
