Agreed. I'm using Premiere Pro on an 8 year-old desktop with half of that RAM and and an i5. It struggles a little bit with 4k editing but even so it is still usable. You'll be okay with that laptop.I have the same exact laptop and used Adobe Premier Pro to edit up to a 1.5 hours of sound and 2K video with it. If you are editing 10-minute 2K drone movies, it’s more than enough.
Get a second monitor for it and a extra keyboard and mouse, . I perched mine on a shelf next to my other monitor and it was like having a two monitor stand. Two screens are great for editing!Thanks, may just jump on it. Not really planning on doing anything fancy.
