DJI should still honor the warranty if the part you're claiming was not damaged in the process of replacing that cable and/or was not damaged as a result of replacing that cable. See the DJI Warranty for more details.

ok thanks, because the gimbal did not stabilize and I changed the ribbon cable. Now it works but the screen is black. I would not know whether to send him for assistance or try a new cable
 
the warranty applies even after opening the drone and changed a cable?

Was the video working before you changed the gimbal ribbon cable? If so, you might have damaged the silver video cable.

Unless you have DJI Refresh, DJI might not cover your drone under warranty now that you have opened it. You can take it apart again and check your silver video cable for damage.

If there are signs of you being inside the drone and messing with it, your warranty is not going to cover it. If you have DJI Refresh, you can use that and suck up to the fact that you were messing with things. If not, it's probably coming out of pocket unless you get lucky.

And, it may be straight-forward, but it's not easy to replace.

The silver cable is not as difficult to replace as the gimbal ribbon cable. You have to remove every screw in the gimbal to replace it, then pull the camera barrel apart from the motor assembly to get to it, but at least there are only 2 connectors on it.

If you feel like you have reached the point of being over your head and you have DJI care refresh chances are you will be able to return it and just tell them you want DJI care refresh Express and they won't even bother evaluating your old one and express your new one out
