What's up guys, my names Jesse, just picked up a Mavic Air for my first drone and immediately fell in love, as if I need another expensive hobby along with motorsports and every cycling discipline known to man.

I live just north of Seattle and have been flying it **** near every day since I got it, most recently been filming and photographing the protests at CHAZ in Capitol Hill which it has been EXCELLENT for, but which also prompted the first questions I've had, which I'll be posting in another thread. I'd love to meet up with other pilots if there's any around, I'm trying to practice my videography skills to start an automotive YouTube channel when all this quarantine business is done with and any pointers would be rad. Anyways, just thought I'd introduce myself before I got to asking questions! Good to be here.

Welcome to the forum.
I hope you will find our site helpful and look forward to any input , photo's/video's you might post .
Don't be shy and ask anything if you can't find it by searching . ?

Welcome to you from the wide-open spaces of Texas!

Hope you got the MA2. It's a fabulous machine for the beginner and the pro alike.

Lots of fellow Seattlites* and over 100,000 others of us from around the world are here to help you gain skill as a pilot and photographer.

Be sure to read the manual! Be sure you practice lost drone recovery (you will crash, and you will lose your MA2). Just be sure you know how to retrieve it!

Glad to have you with us!

*I was one myself--grew up on Magnolia Bluff, just east of "Fort" Lawton

It's just the original one actually although I wish it was the new one, I got a fly more combo off Ebay for $450 and figured it'd be a good way to try it out and make sure I like it before I dump real money into it. Next time I'll probably look into getting a pro but this will work for the time being!
