Watch for stolen DJI Drones

There was a break in at a camera store in Calgary AB. They stole DJI Drones. So if anyone comes across some for sale at a To Good To Be True price, then they are most likely stolen.

I don't think you are going to see stolen DJI aicraft being sold at "to good to be true" prices. They will look like any other drone advertisement. Where they try selling these things and how they can do it anonymously without giving up their identity will be the tricky part.
 
If the retailer reports the serial numbers to DJI then DJI will be able to lock them to prevent activation for flight.
Yeah but then that's the problem of the unwitting customer who has already forked over the cash for the drone! sigh.

Shouldn't be a problem if you purchase from a reputable seller. Amazon will refund if you unwittingly purchase a stolen drone; that's from personal experience.
 
Might be in Russia or Ukraine by now. Hope the thieves get caught, everybody pays for theft.
