Air 2 Water quality on Sanibel Island 6 Months after Hurricane Ian

We hope to be there in 3 weeks, is this good water quality-from previous visits it usually appears blue? Anyway lovely and cannot wait to be in your great State again.
Here's a source of information on water quality in the area. Look for the link to the Mote Marine Lab monitoring and reporting system for one good source. Red tide is a big concern there, but it's early in the year for any problems to be occurring.
Visual imaging isn't very helpful beyond an objective indication of turbidity.

Thanks so much for this reference point. We are very much aware that the Red Tide is there with a vengeance and that it is unseasonably early. We have visited many many times-in the Naples area and experienced one Red Tide in 16 years. Sorry I should have realised you were referring to the RT in your heading. We are watching it closely as one of out great delights is walking on the beaches in the State Parks, Delnor Wiggins and Carl Johnson and both are of course closed but mainly due to storm damage. We’ll have a great time anyway and will get my MA2 up as often as possible.
