Way points and rc signal.

Hi Pilots,
The question is, if I fly waypoint missions, does the aircraft still need the rc radio signal?
So for example.. If the maximum range while flying with the rc was 2 miles, would you actually be able to fly beyond that point on an autonomous mission?

You can on Litchi . I've never used DjiGo4 waypoints though . The only thing is the gimbal movements are app dependant so if you lose RC signal the mission will continue with the gimbal in the last position it was at before signal was lost .
