Hi, I recently reset my RC Pro controller, but before I did I backed up my waypoint files. Now that the DJI RC Pro is factory reset and the waypoint files copied back to the proper directory I cannot see any of my previous missions on the controller. When I start the Mavic 3 Pro and go to waypoints and try to initiate an old mission the history is empty. Am I missing a step somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello

Waitingalso, and asking, if it could be done properly? Have same waypoints on old RC and would like to copy themto my new RC pro.
Didnt find them in DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series). Do I have to have diferent soft ware? Thanks

See u in the air

Suggestion, create a new mission and save it, then copy an old mission over the new file and see if that works

DJI's waypoint mission storage includes two main components:
  1. A database (SQLite?) that stores the mission name, date, and a unique identifier (GUID or UUID).
  2. A system of folders whose names are constructed from those unique identifiers.
When copying an externally created mission onto your flying device, one always has to overwrite an existing mission using the already existing unique identifier. This way, the waypoint mission database already has an identifier pointing to the mission you just copied.

What happened in your case is that you copied a series of folders and missions onto your flying device but the new, empty waypoint database has no entries that point to the files you copied. Therefore, it looks like you have no missions.

You have two choices:
  1. For each waypoint mission that you copy to the flying device, you must first create a "dummy" mission using your desired name. Then, overwrite that mission with one of the missions you wish to add.
  2. Identify the database file on your controller. If DJI makes it available it might be named "waypoints.db" or something similar that ends in ".db". It may be possible to extract and examine that file in order to determine how to create a new one that already contains your missions.
