flying my Mavic 3 Classic with the RC-N1 (i think) controller. I have attached an adapter that allows me to use an iPad as a screen. (See attached)
When flying waypoints missions, i have been getting “signal lost” messages and in one case, it flies the mission (video) but then stops the route at the 2nd to last waypoint.;it is not far away and within line of site when this happens. It usually keeps flying the route but the screen may freeze for a few seconds (seems longer) until it resumes “broadcasting”. Except for the example mentioned above, photos and videos are uninterrupted.
My question is- have any of you had a similar experience when using an adapter like this or when flying waypoints with the M3C? Im wondering if the adapter is interfering with signal. Have not had this problem when flying any of the mini series drones.
Thanks!

I don't think its the adapter at all but just for kicks If you run the mission sans adapter does it do the same thing? Where are you flying anything near that could interfere?

I havent tried it sans adapter just because its a pain (for me) to take it off and put it back on. Fine motor control problems with fingers

or take the Drone to another place and see if the problem persists there. if so get rid of the adapter. Plus Remember if you are flying with the drone "in front" of the pad ( where the signal has to pass thru the pad) it could be that you need to keep the rear of the controller pointed more precisely in the drones position.

Pain? ... Pain is a waypoint mission that doesn't return home after hitting an obstacle, or one of the other myriad of reasons that it doen't get to continue it's flight. How far is this mission in total distance and what is it reporting for the needed flight time. (all of which are not 100% accurate)? I won't remind anyone to fly with a battery that's 100% at mission start. I would do all that I could to rule uut the adapter frankly - even it means the inconvenience or physical pain needed to remove it from the loop of problems. Keep us posted! Happy New Year too!

That adapter is definitely causing the body of your iPad to block part of the antennas, and the metal screws in the adapter are also next to the antennas, in addition to the plastic over the ends of the antennas. Use at your own risk.

However, as long as you have "Continue Mission" set as the loss of signal response during the Mission, no worries. It will still complete the mission without any signal, and will likely also restore control as you get closer. If not, it will enter loss of signal RTH after the Mission, and still fly home. Ignore the temporary loss of video feed. Just means the controller is temporarily disconnected from the drone at that location. No need to panic. DJI has you covered.
