So I've created this waypoint mission in Autopilot that basically looks sound to me. At least in theory. However, a few questions remain and I would really appreciate if a few people could kindly have a look at it. It's Dana Point, CA.

Here the key points. The cliff is about 250' high according to GE. I'm starting and landing from sea level. Approx 12mph S wind, not including gusts etc, obviously. I'd initially wanted to run it at 10mph. With that wind though this might be a bad idea since I will probably get blown towards the cliff. Im now considering 20mph, even though it won't have any headwind. The sensitive point is likely around WP 16/17 when I will probably lose signal. It's set for continue mission. RTH will be set at 600' since I have to comfortably clear the cliff in an emergency RTH. I intend to land manually since the last WP will be at 150' near to my starting point and I don't want to shoot back up the sky before landing when RTH. It's 1.33 miles long and takes 7.54 min at 10mph, at windstill conditions, that is. Do you guys think this mission is crazy or very doable?

Subscribing because this sounds awesome and I didn't even know you could do such a thing with the MP.
LOL hold your horses though since this is likely not the most sensible mission...LOS flying comes with its own set of risks so I'm aware of that. I think at this point my main concern is wind. No signal while the craft is slowly drifting away is what I would like to avoid...

Took a look at Dana Point in 3D in GE and that is an absolutely awesome mission!

I flown cliffs in Santa Cruz, CA, with wind. 12mph may be a bit much, but I would try manually flying a portion of the cliff to see how it behaves in the wind, let it hover, etc. This way you can get an idea for how much distance margin you need to feel confidently safe.

I would fly it.

What do you mean by this? Line of sight flying is the safest way to fly, no? Actually seeing the drone..
Hmm you have a point there. I was thinking of Loss Of Signal. Funny actually, it could mean so many things. Loss of signal, loss of sight, line of sight. I think the generally accepted meaning in drone circles is line of sight. NASA thinks it means loss of signal.

Awesome, I thank you very much for your feedback!
