Waypoint question

What happens when first and last waypoint are very close to each other and also close to the home point? I created kind of a loop and the M3 refused to start the flight route. I took off manually then pressed Go but got some kind of message about the drone already reaching the end point or so. Do not remember exactly what the message read. Anyone ever experienced this?
