I have this combination: Mini 4 pro + RC2 controller, updated to the latest firmware.
DJI Fly on the controller is ver. 1.17.6

Lately I have noticed that the waypoint folder is lost on my controller. (/Android/data/dji.go.v5/files/waypoint)
I can neither reach my previous waypoints, nor can I upload any new KMZ files (waypoints created by photogrammetry purpose software)
I have logged out and logged in again, no change.
I looked to the internal storage area and the SD card as well. The folder is not available.
I think this is due to the updates I have made recently.

What is the method or solution to overcome this problem?

...and, have you simply tried creating and saving a new waypoint mission, then checking for the folder?

Hello @BostonAerials and @droning-on-and-on,

Thank you for your followup.

On that day I noticed that, some other folders were also missing and since I was only focused on the /Android/data/dji.go.v5/files/waypoint folder at the moment I wrote on this forum, I was not aware of the other folders being not there. I remember this story was almost at the same time when there was a recent major update from DJI and many people were complaining about some problems.

Upon further analysis on my devices, I became suspicous about the integrity of the whole folder structure, and I decided starting a full reinstallation of the software from scratch. This made me free of all errors and I am OK since then, only with few priorly created waypoint losses which were easily recreated again. I spent at least one day struggling around.

Rethinking the situation again now:

If I ever tried to create a sample waypoint mission live on the field (as you suggested), I wonder if the /Android/data/dji.go.v5/files/waypoint folder would be recreated again. Even if that folder would be recovered, there was no guarantee that all other folders (possibly most of which I was not aware of) would be ever recovered all.

The problem most probably happened during the DJI firmware update or my connection between the PC and the device and perhaps there was a short power or wifi outage which created an unstability during the write procedure on the device. So, based on this uncertainty or doubt, I preferred initiating a clean install. You know, this is typical microsoft windows user habit ;-)

Wish you happy droning..
