After having the Mavic for a week now, today was the first real take off.
Set up in beginners mode so restricted to how far I could fly which is a good thing.
Went through a number of different manoeuvres getting the feel of the controls. Like how it just hovers in place as soon as you take hands of the sticks.
Did a bit of very jerky video as I haven't got the movements smooth yet.
I have also updated to the newest FW without any problems with the download.
Running Iphone 6.
Will gain some experience in beginner mode for a number of flights then explore the other options.
Have been diligent in reading what I can on this forum and taking note of others problems/ incidents/ advice etc.
Today was a good day.

Sounds like it was and also sounds like your going about it
in the right way. Just take your time and don't get to frisky
and you will have a ball. Fly Safe.
